The following are the most common necklace lengths and where they fall on the average female body (this will depend on your frame and build):

10 - 14" (25.5 - 35.5 cm): wraps closely around the neck | |
16" (40.5 cm): wraps loosely around the neck | |
18" - 20" (45.5 - 51 cm): sits on or just below the collarbone | |
22" (56 cm): lays at or above the top of the bust | |
24" (61 cm): lays at or just below the centre of the bust | |
28 - 38" (71 - 96.5 cm): hangs below the bust | |
40" (101.5 cm) and above: hangs at or below the navel |
Bracelets
As a rough guide, standard bracelet sizes are:
Baby up to 18 months | 4.5" (11.5 cm) |
Junior 5-7 yrs | 6" (15 cm) |
Older Child 9-12 yrs | 6.5" - 7" (16.5 - 18 cm) |
Teen or petite adult woman | 7" (18 cm) |
Average adult woman | 7.5" (19 cm) |
Larger adult woman | 8” (20.5 cm) |
Man | 8” - 9" (20.5 - 23 cm) |
To help you decide, you can measure yourself by wrapping a piece of string round your wrist (as tight or loose as you would like the finished bracelet to be) then measuring that.
